The Glorious Firelight

Ike and his expecting Pit sat next to each other on the floor before a small fireplace in the common room with scarcely other residents. There, they cooed sweet nothings into the other's ear until the cherub gently placed his head upon his guardian's sturdy shoulder. The expecting hummed a soothing melody for his lover's ears only, which absorbed his lovely sounds with great delight until the celestial boy yawned loudly and stretched his limbs. Ike took the opportunity to cuddle his delicate angel with his left arm and place a delicate kiss upon the crown of his head.

The firelight birthed a radiant, scarlet glow upon his delicate skin and twinkled in his drowsy eyes as his body animated only by the steady rise and fall of his chest. Ike pondered a bit before gently brushing his free hand across the angel's stomach until a soft hand claimed his wrist to place it upon his temporary womb. The angel's eyes eventually reached his and gazed with the most affectionate delight that not even total darkness could shroud.

A strange entity crept within the glorious cherub and wrapped its fine wings around his rapidly pulsating heart as if a third being had accompanied them in their time of meditation. He smiled at this warmth and affectionately kissed his significant other who also shared in the feeling of genuine love. Ike returned the action until he allowed Pit to rest under his protection. He stared at him with affection while he watched his graceful eyelashes bat continuously as the poor angel fought to stay awake and savor the environment.

At last, sleep had claimed him and secured him rapidly that even the action of Ike carrying his beautiful angel to the floor above failed to lighten his slumber. Ike gingerly placed his beloved companion upon the straightened bed and brushed his bangs away from his pretty face before claiming a sect of the floor beside him for himself.
